David Morgan, Certified Financial Fiduciary® , MSFS, CEA
David H. Morgan is a financial advisor who offers comprehensive, holistic wealth management that connects every aspect of a client’s financial life. To help accomplish that, he engages a team of financial, legal and tax professionals who provide multi-disciplinary solutions to a client’s financial needs – solutions not just from a legal perspective, a tax perspective, or an investment perspective, but from many integrated fields. For clients, the efficiency and results of David’s holistic approach can be dramatic.
A financial services professional for over 25 years, David has extensive experience guiding clients toward their financial goals. His credentials include an Honors degree from Indiana University, a Master of Financial Services (MSFS) degree from the Institute of Business & Finance, and the designation of Certified Estate Advisor (CEA). He is also certified in various other disciplines, such as annuities, asset allocation, investment funds, and retirement income.
As a Registered Investment Advisor, REAP in Wealth Management, unlike many other financial professionals, has a fiduciary duty to deliver unbiased advice and always serve the clients’ best interest.
“When dealing with clients, or anyone,” David says, “my mantra is ‘to comfort, to strengthen, to guide’ – a philosophy espoused by the famous words of the late minister Dr. W. Frank Harrington.”
Away from work, David serves the community as an elder at his church. He enjoys exercising, spending time with his wife and three sons, and following the St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Indiana University basketball teams.

Glenn Scharf spent nine years at Prudential Securities before realizing that he wanted to create a different kind of financial services company. Of his time at Prudential, Scharf says that he learned a great deal about how he wanted to service his clients. He describes Prudential’s Philadelphia office as a dynamic working environment, but came away with an understanding that the large-scale corporate model was not suited to his personality, or to the needs of the clients with whom he wanted to do business. He realized that he could provide his clients with more opportunities by moving away from the traditional brokerage houses. “In the large firms, it is virtually impossible to put the client’s needs first,” he explains. Thus, Scharf Group LLC was born; a company whose organizational model and experienced, dedicated staff are structured first and foremost around best serving their clients.
Scharf is passionate about what he does, and thrives on conveying that enthusiasm to others. He finds personal inspiration in helping people achieve their financial goals, and notes “When you love what you do, it does not feel like work.” That kind of enthusiasm pays off, as 99% of Scharf Group’s clients come to them by way of referral.
Scharf also emphasizes the importance of listening to the particulars of each client’s personal situation, and cites client education as a crucial factor in his company’s effectiveness. “We educate clients about the entire investment process, not just about products and services,” he says. When a client approaches Scharf Group for the first time they are introduced to our team for a discussion of their needs and how the Group’s services can best assist them in reaching their goals. Though this initial consultation is complementary, Scharf is confident about its value. “We need to see if there is a fit,” he explains. “Will the client benefit from us and vice versa? We’re looking for a win-win relationship where we can add value.”
Scharf Group invests in our clients in many ways including the utilization of unrivaled technological support systems. “We have at our fingertips the most pliable, comprehensive and client specific asset tools that I have ever used,” says Edward Di Pietro, Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Strategist at Scharf Group. Di Pietro has been with Scharf Group since February of 1995 when he also left Prudential Securities to join Scharf Group. “Our technology is consisted with our firms philosophy, it is completely centered on each individual client’s goals and objectives. Unlike many advisors who try to fit their clients into predetermined models, we combine our vast experience with the latest technology to design asset allocation models to each of our clients specific situation.”
In exchange for their expertise and commitment to service, Scharf asks for the respect and trust of his clients. “The media too often misleads people into thinking that individuals can and should handle their own finances, but this is not always the case,” he points out. “There are many people who simply don’t have the time or resources to do it themselves. This is where we come in.”

Bruce was born and raised in Baltimore, MD.He grew up with three loves: reading, sports, and everything related to the water.Whether he was swimming in the ocean or fishing in the Chesapeake Bay, he was right at home.Bruce embraced the Orioles and crabs in the summer, as well as football and oysters in the winter.
Bruce matriculated at the University of Maryland, and then proceeded to do additional post-graduate work at the University of Baltimore. From there, he went on to a string of successes in sales and management positions.
Bruce relocated to South Florida in the Spring of 2000 to take over as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for The Original Big Tomato Franchise Co., Inc, a multiple award-winning franchise that he helped create offering gourmet tomato pies, salads and wraps.
After selling and opening several franchises in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, Bruce turned his attentions to working with the franchisees to market and build their businesses. His success became their success, as they followed his example and grew their businesses.
It was during this time that Bruce decided to earn some additional income during evenings and weekends, and so signed on as an agent of The Hartford. After winning The Hartford's prestigious Launch Award, he went on to become one of their top agents nationwide, with his production consistently putting him in the Top 5 in his division.
Bruce says: "It was here that everything changed...I was getting paid to really help people in a significant way.The gratification and emotional satisfaction level was off the chart.I truly fell in love with this business."The next step was more difficult; leaving a business (and the equity) that he had helped build at The Original Big Tomato.
He also decided to open his advisory, SecuRetirement, Inc."Though The Hartford was a good company, my clients had many needs that they could not serve" says Bruce, "so I decided to open an independent agency to have access to other carriers with a full range of products. This way I could find the optimum solution at the best price point for my clients".
In the Spring of 2007 Bruce received the news that no one wants to hear: he was diagnosed with cancer. He endured numerous surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation, often quoting the old adage: "that which does not kill us, only serves to make us stronger", and “If they can’t kill you with kindness, they’ll try to do it with radiation.”
After treatment ended, Bruce returned to the career he loved, and was recruited by SeemanHoltz, a Boca Raton based advisory providing comprehensive services to the post retirement community.“It was an outstanding experience”, says Bruce, “they have a great team there, and I was able to advance my professional skills to the next level.Frankly, it was five of the best years of my life”.
Bruce was recruited as a Managing Associate with MassMutual.“I had grown as much as I could at my previous firm, and MassMutual represented an opportunity to grow with a great company in our industry…how could I say no?” quipped Bruce.
Finally, Bruce was selected as a Financial Educator for AFEA (American Financial Education Alliance, a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit). “Now is the time for me to really give back as an educator” says Bruce.“In order for me to devote as much time to this as possible, I re-opened the doors to SecuRetirement to allow for additional scheduling flexibility…it’s truly a dream come true for me.”
Today, Bruce is considered one of Florida's pre-eminent tax, income and retirement planners. He has penned reports and studies on retirement and income planning, as well as being a contributor to the Wall Street Journal. His fellow advisors refer to him as "The Professor" for his encyclopedic knowledge of retirement and Medicaid planning, advanced income strategies and product intricacies.
Bruce currently resides in Hollywood, FL with his beautiful wife Maria, their lovely daughter Karol, and gorgeous granddaughters Sofia and Lucia.
An active financial consultant as well as founder of Liberty Advisory Group, Peter Laliberte has spent his entire career--more than 25 years--in financial services. Peter has served in the public and private sector as a chief financial officer in the past, including the American Red Cross where is still an active volunteer, but he has been a self-employed entrepreneur since 1996. Peter draws on all of his professional as well as personal experiences to help his company’s clients.
“I have spent the last 10 years of my life focusing solely on income planning for retirees and pre-retirees. The world changed after 9/11, and again after the recession of 2008. I focus on financial security and safety for my clients, because none of us can afford to lose any money ever again,” says Peter. “I watched what happened to my parents who didn’t have a plan in place, and that’s why I am in this business—to make sure it never happens to anyone else.”
Peter holds a master’s degree in business and education from Cambridge College, but in his opinion, he never stops learning. “We are always trying to get better at what we do. For instance, I am part of a mentoring group, acting as both mentor and mentee, where we meet often, sharing ideas and concepts with the goal of continually learning to be better at what we do. That is where The Bucket Plan® was developed”.Peter is an independent licensed Securities Advisor and insurance agent, and is one of the few people in Florida who holds the designation Certified Bucket Plan® Specialist. “The Bucket Plan®” is a trademarked and registered income planning strategy.
Most importantly to him, Peter has been married to the love of his life Tonie since 1995. Peter and Tonie, who is also a financial consultant, have three children: Spencer, Kurtis, and Blake. The family has lived in Ponte Vedra Beach for 21 years and they are all active members of Christ Episcopal Church. They enjoy many beach activities and deep sea fishing together. Peter says, “Our shared mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of everyone we meet. We operate under the 5 “F’s” rule: Family, Faith, Finance, Fitness, and Fun. If you have your 5 “F’s” in order you’ve got it made!”
