For nearly two decades Steve Glover has been extremely involved in his community. First serving as Chair of the McGavock Parent Cluster Group, the chair of Government Relations for the Parents Advisory Council with Metro Nashville Public Schools. He decided to run for the Metro Nashville Public Schools School Board and in 2006 was elected to represent Donelson, Hermitage and Old Hickory.
While on the school board, Steve’s business skills in finance led to his appointment as chair of the budget and finance committee. In 2009 & 2010, he was instrumental in guiding the system through its most challenging financial crisis the system had ever witnessed. Upon finishing his term with the school board, Steve was approached to run for the Metro Council. He was elected in 2011 and is now in his eighth year.
Serving on the Metro Council, with the Budget and Finance committee, Steve has pushed the Council to be good stewards of tax revenues and has constantly fought against foolish spending in Nashville. The current session of this Council ends August, 2019.
