About Lucas Schmitz
Growing up in rural Southwest Wisconsin, at a young age I developed a passion and great appreciation for agriculture. Working on different dairy and beef operations, I have developed a strong understanding of the uniqueness of agricultural businesses. As a Financial Advisor I focus on partnering with and helping farm families in rural Southwest Wisconsin communities. One of the most challenging decisions they will make is when to transition out of the only thing they’ve ever done, farming, and into retirement. I want to help them be confident in this decision, allowing them to enjoy their retirement.
I believe, to successfully help individuals achieve their goals, it is my responsibility to be an expert in understanding the needs of clients. I’m continually enhancing my knowledge through educational programs to stay on top of the ever changing financial industry. I also believe in having strong relationships with professionals that specialize in areas outside of my area of expertise, such as; estate attorney’s, tax professionals, and loan officers, among others.
Aside from being a registered FINRA series 7 and 66 licensed advisor. I also am a Certified Financial Fiduciary®, helping to ensure that the Best Interest of Clients is my #1 priority. I aspire to support local communities of Farmers Savings Bank, by successfully achieving client’s individual investment needs.
A graduate from Southwest Wisconsin Technical College and the University of Wisconsin Platteville, I obtained both an Associate’s and Bachelor’s degree.
My wife, Elaine, and I have two daughters; Lennon (5) and Sullivan, a.k.a. Sully (2), and we currently reside in Oregon, WI. When I’m not working or with my family, which is where you will find me 99% of the time, I do have a few part-time hobbies; which are fishing, hunting, shooting trap, getting in the occasional round of golf, and supporting local communities with local service organizations.
If there are any topics or requests you would like to review, please do not hesitate, and reach out to me with the Investment Center at (608) 987-5020, or stopping by to catch me at 305 Doty St, Mineral Point, WI 53565.
Thank you for taking the time to briefly learn about me, and I look forward to the opportunity to serve you. Make it a Great Day!
