As the owner and CEO of Ballard Financial Group, Chris Ballard is focused on helping clients work toward their retirement dreams through a well-thought-out strategy for retirement income.
Chris has 30 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry. He has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation and is an Investment Adviser Representative and Insurance Professional. Before starting in the industry in 1987, Chris pursued a career in the FBI. One month before he was scheduled to start training, the government implemented a hiring freeze. A friend recommended that Chris work in the senior health care insurance industry instead, and he did. Eight years later, Chris opened his own financial practice.
Chris has passed the Series 65 exam, holds life and health licenses, and has received his CFP® designation from the University of Denver. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Eckerd College.
Chris lives in Minneola, Florida, with his wife of more than 30 years, their two daughters and their Labrador retrievers. In his free time, Chris enjoys watching his daughters play sports, going on family outings, riding road bikes, fishing, boating and vacationing with his wife.
