About Chris Curran

Chris Curran is the founder of Curran Wealth Group a division of Integrated Financial Concepts in Red Bank, New Jersey, bringing 31 years of experience in the financial services industry to every client relationship. A Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) since 2003, Chris has also earned his Certified Financial Fiduciary® designation, affirming the fiduciary standard he has applied throughout his career.
Chris's specialty is decumulation planning — helping retirees and pre-retirees convert a lifetime of savings into reliable, tax-efficient income they can't outlive. His work centers on three priorities for clients approaching or already in retirement: capturing growth while protecting against market losses, minimizing the drag of taxes and fees, and reducing the risk of outliving their assets. He takes a holistic view of each client's full financial picture rather than addressing pieces of it in isolation.
Specific areas studied to attain the CLU designation included:
Income Taxation Planning for Retirement Needs
Insurance Law Insurance & Financial Planning
Investments Life Insurance Fundamentals
Estate Planning Planning for Business Owners & Professionals
He is a regular speaker at educational workshops throughout the state and acts as an expert resource to many of his fellow advisors on specific subjects such as Roth Conversions, Decumulation Planning and College Funding.
He is licensed in the following states: CT, FL, GA, IL, MD, MA, NH, NJ, NY, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, VA, WI, TX
Chris also brings deep experience helping parents plan for college costs — he and his wife put two of their own children through school, and he has guided well over 1,000 families through the same process. That experience taught him that college funding rarely creates problems on its own; the real risk is in how it can undermine a family's retirement readiness if the two aren't planned together. Today, since most of his clients the majority of his practice is devoted to retirement income and decumulation strategies.
Chris was born in Queens, NY and grew up in Long Island. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in business management from Fairfield University, Chris moved to New Jersey to settle down and build a family with his wife Jill who he met while in college and is originally from the Garden State.
