Brett Sause is the Founder and CEO of AFG Wealth, a boutique financial planning practice headquartered in Easton, Maryland.  
AFG Wealth was established in 1999, shortly after Brett began his financial services career. Since then, Brett has prioritized continuing education and learning opportunities to serve clients' needs best. Brett has received numerous advanced financial designations, including Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF®), Long Term Care Professional (LTCP), Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC®), Financial Services Certified Professional (FSCP®), and Life and Annuity Certified Professional (LACP).
Brett is a proud member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Maryland and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), further demonstrating his dedication to professional excellence and commitment to staying ahead of industry standards.
A distinguished achievement in Brett's career is his membership in the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT)*, where he has attained the prestigious Top of the Table status. This recognition reflects his exceptional client service, success, and leadership within the financial services industry. Brett has also been recognized as Agent of the Year by the Baltimore/Annapolis General Office of New York Life Insurance Company every year from 2009-2024.
Philanthropic involvement is a priority for the Sause family. Brett and his wife, Molly, formed the Brett & Molly Sause Family Charitable Fund in 2014 to focus on maritime safety, community involvement, and children's bereavement programs. These efforts reflect their dedication to fostering safer waters, stronger communities, and providing support to children during difficult times.
Brett is also a member of the MDRT Foundation, where his donor level is that of the "Royal Order Excalibur Knight," the most prestigious donor level one can achieve within the organization, with a minimum donation of $250,000.
An accolade that brings Brett great pride is his lifetime membership with the National Eagle Scout Association. Brett, an Eagle Scout himself, was named the Eagle Scout CEO of the Year for the Baltimore Area Council in 2014.
Outside of the office, Brett is an avid yachting and maritime enthusiast. He holds a United States Coast Guard Master Merchant Marine Officer 100 (GRT) credential with a commercial towing endorsement. Brett loves spending time with family and friends on the Chesapeake Bay and surrounding waters. Brett and Molly live in Oxford, Maryland, with their daughter Emily and their two Goldendoodles, Bailey and Maggie.
